Winten is the moniker of Naarm/Melbourne-based musician and visual artist Bridgette Winten. A nocturnal creative whose songs usually take place in the stillness of night, Winten’s songs are an introspective collection of tenderness and triumph; gently reflecting on themes ranging from alienation to intimacy, romantic and familial heartbreak, growing pains, insecurity and acceptance, all the while acknowledging and loving an ever-present inner child. She’s set to release her anticipated debut album ‘Waving To My Girl’ on August 18th, 2023.

Exuding a mixture of subtle vs big, feel-good instrumentation, her debut album ‘Waving To My Girl’ is a landscape of compassion and growth, representing the painful yet hopeful feeling of meeting yourself at the precipice of self-acceptance and understanding after years of denial and negative self-talk. The title references lyrics taken from the album’s leading track by the same name, which is an ode to loving and acknowledging your inner child while simultaneously stepping into womanhood.
